Rava Kesari


Semolina/Ravai/Rava - 1 Cup

Hot Water - 2 Cup

Sugar - 1-11/2 Cup

Orange food Color - Pinch

Powdered Cardamom - 1/2 tea spn

Cashews,raisins,almonds (Whatever nuts you like)


Heat 1 tbl spn of ghee in the pan (use heavy bottomed pan)and roast the rava till nice aroma comes and then pour the hot water(water should be really very hot,so that it wont form lumps)

Once all the water absorbs, add the sugar and stir continuously to avoid lumps 

Now add the cardamom powder and food color(dissolve the food color with little water). Once it comes to thick consistency switch off the flame 

Finally roast the nuts in 3-4 tbl spn of ghee and add it .

Serve hot
