Focaccia Bread With Rosemary and Garlic | Italian Bread

Focaccia Bread, a soft and spongy Italian Bread. It's one of our favorite breads to have with soup. Though i make them occasionally, we enjoy it wholeheartedly every time i make it at home.
When i first searched for some Italian bread to try at home, i found this focaccia bread. The dough was  similar to the pizza dough, so i was confident that there wont be any major disaster and tried it and as expected it turned out so good and i simply loved the golden crust on the top.

For the first time,  i baked this bread in a small round pan and my bread turned out thicker than the typical Focaccia bread and also it was very spongy.  Later i tried the same in a larger baking sheet and it turned out the perfect Focaccia bread.

Though Focaccia Bread is a flattened bread, we like it better when it's thick. So usually i make it in a small pan so that it will turn out fluffy but you can totally spread the dough thin and bake it as a flatten bread.

When you bake the bread at home, it's all about how you want, right? So bake the way you like even though it's not how it's usually done.

I'm glad that i tried this bread and also it's one of the best breads that i have baked so far.Now let see the procedure.

Notes:

  • To proof the yeast, make sure that the water is lukewarm. It should be 105F to 110F. If you dont have thermometer(like me) to measure the temperature. Put few drops of water in your wrist,  if it's warm  & comfortable to you, that's the correct temperature.
  • It tastes great with tomato soup.
